“Entrepreneurship” was a word that Debbie grew up with through her family floristry business in Buckinghamshire.  A call to “Corporate life” as a Management Accountant changed her entrepreneurship journey for 17 years and when juggling Corporate life and having two young boys in school the opportunity of redundancy was welcomed and Debbie’s entrepreneurship was given the opportunity to flourish once again!

Fifteen years ago, aged 40, Debbie retrained and founded Debbie Atkins Fitness which incorporates online functional fitness classes, Nordic walking groups, 1:1 Nordic walking training and Debbie believes more than ever that nutrition is key to us enjoying optimal health – helping us to balance physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually so that we can be the best we can be and at any age!

It was because of Debbie’s own personal health challenges in relation to her circulation (Raynaud’s syndrome) that led Debbie to discovering why nitric oxide is a miracle molecule within our body and how we can reverse the “as we age” natural decline of this molecule and, this is where Debbie’s journey and relationship with Synergyworldwide and their world leading pro-arginine product began.

Delivering quality products and services is one of Debbie’s values and that is why for nearly 10 years Debbie has been helping men and women improve their lifestyle habits using Synergyworldwide as one of her many health and wellbeing “tools” – moving her clients along their journey to elite health and wellness.  Debbie believes in aging strongly and age is just a number!

In the spring of 2013, Debbie started her networking journey as a member of The Reading Athena Network and a year later in 2014 Debbie had the opportunity to purchase The Reading Athena Network Franchise – it was an immediate “YES”!

Ten years as the Regional Director of the now Reading and Henley Athena Network, with four groups who meet online as well as in-person – structured meetings and informal networking make up The Athena Network – it is a fabulous hybrid model The Athena Network has and is great example of how to get the most from your business networking.

Debbie views her position as an Athena Regional Director as a privilege, being able to serve her members by creating a safe and welcoming space.  This allows her members to truly believe in themselves and know that they are fully supported and encouraged to develop and grow both personally and thus professionally.  The Ripple Effect of Networking is where the magic happens and, The Athena Network is where business women come to experience growth and be their authentic self.
